Multi-horizon canopy temperature forecasting and frost detection. 525,000 observations across five seasons, 15 models compared under a shared no-oracle protocol: a twelve-coefficient SARIMA beats ≈ 2,000 decision trees and two convolutional networks over the 30 min – 1 h window. A growing degree-day threshold cuts 57 alerts down to 6 genuinely dangerous nights.
